The Elite Advisors Group is comprised of ORBA's most successful Financial Professionals.  These professionals take part in shaping the future of ORBA Financial Management.

Statement of Purpose

  • To strengthen alliances with our Elite Advisors developing a hierarchy of external management with regard to systems, procedures and business continuity.
  • To provide an environment of education for our Elite Advisors to share among one another utilizing each other’s strengths and brilliance.
  • To utilize our top advisors intellectual capital and experience to assist ORBA in recruiting and developing the next tier of potential Elite Advisors.
  • To solidify our Elite Advisors relationships with one another to develop camaraderie and a desire to obtain or maintain said status based on income and educational requirements.
  • To create, mentor and develop a pool of potential speakers for KFS, Advisor Spotlight conference calls, and TFA’s Spring Training and Annual Leaders Conference.
  • To discuss important issues, such as business continuity and succession planning.

Joining the Elite Advisors

To keep the Elite Advisors Group fresh and full of new ideas, it is important to initiate a few new members into the group every year.  All potential Elite Advisor Candidates need to be nominated by either an Elite Advisor, ORBA Executive Board Member or by the candidate himself.

  1. If an Elite Advisor discovers an ORBA Financial Professional that would be a good fit for the Elite Advisors Group, the Elite Advisor must fill out a nomination form and send it to the Nominations Director.  The Nominations Director will verify the information provided and if accepted, will present the nomination to the Elite Advisor Group and Executive Board to be voted on.  If the nominee doesn’t fulfill one of the requirements listed below, either the Elite Advisor Group or the Executive Board can disqualify the nomination.
  2. If an ORBA Executive Board Member discovers an ORBA Financial Professional that would be a good fit for the Elite Advisors Group, the Executive Board Member must fill out a nomination form and send it to the Nominations Director.  The Nominations Director will verify the information provided and if accepted, will present the nomination to the Elite Advisor Group and Executive Board to be voted on.  If the nominee doesn’t fulfill one of the requirements listed below, either the Elite Advisor Group or the Executive Board can disqualify the nomination.
  3. If an ORBA Financial Professional feels he/she would be a good fit for the Elite Advisors Group, the Financial Professional can fill out a nomination form and send it to the Nominations Director.  The Nominations Director will verify the information provided and if accepted, will present the nomination to the Elite Advisor Group and Executive Board to be voted on.  If the nominee doesn’t fulfill one of the requirements listed below, either the Elite Advisor Group or the Executive Board can disqualify the nomination.

All Elite Advisor Group Members as of May, 2006 are founding members or have been grandfathered into the Elite Advisors Group.

Commitment

Elite Advisors should make all reasonable efforts to attend all scheduled meetings.  The Elite Advisors Group should meet at once a year in person and at least twice by conference call each year.

Qualifications

  1. Financial Advisor Meets the criteria of The Fourth Event
  2. Annual Income is $200,000+.  If ORBA can not verify income by looking at available reports, the following must be submitted:
    1. Prior year’s taxes
    2. Or Income Verification from CPA (see attached sample letter)
  3. Licensing qualifications:
    1. NASD registrations to include 7 & 65 or 66 or
    2. Investment Advisor Representative or Registered Investment Advisor
  4. Specialty Field
    1. Examples:
  1. i.    CPA Networking
  2. ii.    Retirees
  3. iii.    Small Business Owners
  1. Professional Standards
    1. Honest and trustworthy
    2. High integrity
    3. Client comes first
  2. Attitude, Behavior and Personal  Commitment
    1. Positive, can-do attitude
    2. Works well in teams
    3. Can keep confidences of group members
    4. Demonstrates a behavior that encourages fellow Elite Advisors to achieve greater success
    5. Demonstrates a behavior that encourages ORBA to achieve greater success
    6. Speaks highly of other Elite Advisors and ORBA
    7. Addresses problems and conflicts in a professional manner
    8. Attends and contributes to scheduled Elite Advisors meetings/conference calls
    9. Meets deadlines on assigned projects and tasks
